> The 10th Korea Hoguk Art Exhibition

The Korea Hoguk Art Exhibition is an annual contest exhibition, which was first held in 2011, and has expanded its range of contestants from the Korean Army to all citizens of the Republic of Korea, marking its 11th anniversary this year. Since 2011, the Korean Army has been holding the Korea Hoguk Art Exhibition, which was initially an in-camp contest exhibition allowing officers and military personnel to express themselves through creative artwork and convey their love for our country, and has now extended its range to civilians. As the years go by, the public has become more interested in this contest exhibition with an extensive range of very skillfully created artwork, and this event has now become an important contest exhibition with remarkable artistic values in the field of art. In 2020, a total of 1,400 artworks have been listed in 6 different categories (painting, design, photography, sculpture, calligraphy, literary painting), among which 260 award-winning pieces of art were selected based on thorough primary and secondary examinations. Despite the theme being restricted to the narrow theme of patriotism and national security, we have found many outstanding creative artworks. Among the award-winning artworks, the United Nations Peace Memorial Hall will be sharing some of the main pieces with our visitors, and so we hope that this exhibition will inspire you with more profound love for our country and sense of national security.
