The UN Peace Orchestra is a civilian diplomatic peace envoy dedicated to enhancing the cultural stature of the Republic of Korea and promoting world peace through music as a universal language, in remembrance of the United Nations forces who served during the Korean War.

The Orchestra honors the noble sacrifice of the United Nations forces and conveys the core UN values of “peace and freedom” to the people of Korea and to audiences around the world through music. In addition, it provides a meaningful cultural and arts educational platform where youth and adult members can cultivate artistic sensitivity while learning the values of cooperation and consideration through orchestral activities.

Furthermore, through its annual regular concert, the UN Peace Orchestra supports the artistic fulfillment of its members and expands cultural access within the local community, fulfilling its role as a cultural arts organization that delivers messages of peace through music.

The UN Peace Orchestra also operates weekend instrument classes in the form of musical talent sharing to meet the artistic needs of local residents. These classes are conducted under the systematic guidance of professional musicians and contribute to the step-by-step development of participants’ fundamental performance skills and musical understanding.
