With the dawning of the year 2016, the United Nations Peace Memorial Hall has prepared an exhibition showing the aspects of Korea and Busan at the time of the Korean war and “A child encountered while fleeing for refuge: What might that child be doing today ” Once the visitors realize that the child they encountered while fleeing for refuge together is actually a much younger version of their grandfathers or grandmothers that they’ve never met, it occurs to them that the Korean War isn’t merely a story that we have all forgotten but an ongoing tale of our family and neighbors, and that the history of Korea is not over.
